Wrightia antidysenterica

Native to Sri Lanka, Wrightia antidysenterica is an evergreen shrub or small tree with smooth gray branches and opposite glossy leaves. Clusters of white flowers open near the branch tips. Each blossom has five broad overlapping lobes surrounding a small yellow center, giving the flower a clean star-like form. Photographed in Florida.
