×Vriecantarea (species unidentified)
×Vriecantarea is a cultivated hybrid genus created by crossing Vriesea and Alcantarea bromeliads. These ornamental plants grow as rosettes and are represented in horticulture by named selections such as Julietta. The hybrid genus was formally published by botanist Jason R. Grant in 1996. Its name combines portions of the two parent genera. Photographed in Florida.
