Viburnum nudum (Smooth Witherod)

Smooth witherod is a deciduous shrub native to eastern North America, where it grows in wet woods, bogs and savannas. Rounded plants can reach about twelve feet tall. Flat-topped clusters of small fragrant white flowers are followed by fruits that change from pale pink to deep pink, blue and purplish black. Fruits in a single cluster often ripen at different times, producing several colors together. Photographed in Virginia.
