Valeriana pilosa

Native to the northern Andes, Valeriana pilosa is a perennial herb of high mountain grassland and páramo. Basal leaves give rise to upright branching flower stems. Dense rounded clusters contain numerous tiny white flowers tinged pink or purple, with darker buds creating a mottled appearance across the inflorescence. Photographed in Colombia.
