Valeriana microphylla

Native to the northern and central Andes, Valeriana microphylla is a compact perennial of high mountain grassland, rocky slopes, and páramo. Small closely spaced leaves cover the branching stems. Numerous tiny white to pale pink flowers form broad airy clusters that rise above the dense low foliage. Photographed in Colombia.
