Turnera ulmifolia

Native to Bahamas, Belize, Bermuda, Cayman Is., Central American Pacific Is., and Costa Rica and nearby regions, this is a shrub in the Turneraceae family. This plant hails from Mexico and the West Indies and is acknowledged for its medicinal attributes, notably its potential to enhance antibiotic activity against antibiotic-resistant strains like MRSA. It grows erect with toothed leaves and small, yellow-orange flowers that exhibit a brief but vibrant display, blooming early in the morning and wilting in the afternoon.
