Panama City is the capital and largest city of Panama, located at the Pacific entrance of the Panama Canal. It is a political, administrative, and economic center with a population of approximately 1.5 million in the metropolitan area.

The city is divided into several districts, including the historic Casco Antiguo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and modern downtown areas known for their high-rise architecture and commercial activity. Panama City has a tropical savanna climate with distinct wet and dry seasons. The dry season lasts roughly from mid-December to April, with low humidity and occasional winds. The wet season extends from May through November, bringing frequent afternoon rain, high humidity, and warm temperatures year-round. Average daily highs range between 86–91°F, with nighttime lows around 75–77°F.
