Gloxinia perennis (Canterbury bells)
A perennial flowering plant native to Central and South America, particularly found in regions like Colombia, Ecuador, and parts of the Caribbean. This species typically grows in tropical forests and along riverbanks, favoring moist, shaded environments that provide ample humidity and filtered light. It is characterized by its upright growth habit and can reach heights of 2 to 3 feet, with tubular flowers that bloom in clusters.
