A cluster of Cordia boissieri flowers with crinkled white petals and yellow to brown throats surrounded by green leaves
Cordia boissieri

Cordia boissieri is native to northeastern Mexico and southern Texas. This small evergreen tree is adapted to semi-arid climates. Its most notable feature is its abundant display of crinkled white flowers with yellow throats that can sometimes darken to brown as they mature. The tree bears small, olive-like fruits that are edible though not widely consumed. Photographed in Florida.
