Canavalia brasiliensis (Brazilian Jack Bean)
Brazilian Jack Bean, an annual resilient herb native to tropical and subtropical America. It can endure and remain green throughout 5 to 6 months of dry conditions, rapidly resuming growth with the arrival of the rains. The seeds can be consumed and excels as a green manure, contributing to soil enrichment through its symbiotic relationship with nitrogen-fixing bacteria. Photographed in Atlantico, Colombia.
