Bomarea multiflora (Trailing Lily)

Originating from the rich biodiverse regions of Colombia and Ecuador, with a habitat between 6,000 and 12,500 feet, primarily in the wet tropical biome, it’s a multi-stemmed climber that can reach a height of up to 3 meters. With narrow oblong leaves, it boasts vibrant umbels of red, orange, or yellow flowers. The vine is invasive in New Zealand. Photographed in the Andes of Colombia where it is one of twenty-nine native Colombian species of the genus Bomarea.
