Aranda Noorah Alsagoff

Bred in Singapore, this epiphytic orchid is a hybrid between Arachnis hookeriana and Vanda Dawn Nishimura. It is known for its large blue-violet flowers and is grown as an ornamental and for cut flowers. It helped establish Singapore’s orchid export industry. It thrives in strong light with good air circulation and freely draining, coarse growing material; its roots should dry between waterings. Photographed in Florida.
