Multiple small pink four-petaled flowers with dark centers growing in a cluster on reddish fuzzy stems
Arachnothryx euryphylla

Arachnothryx euryphylla is native shrub to Colombia, where it primarily inhabits wet montane forests. The plant is characterized by its distinctive inflorescences, which consist of dense, rounded clusters of small pink to reddish-pink flowers. Each flower is salverform, featuring a long, narrow corolla tube that expands into four spreading, rounded lobes at the apex. The exterior of these tubes and the supporting stems are covered in a dense, velvety layer of fine reddish or brownish hairs, a trait that distinguishes it from many other regional flora. Photographed in the Sierra del Nevada Santa Marta, Colombia.
