Native to Brazil and Paraguay and naturalized in Colombia. Pinto peanut is a ground cover and forage crop. Its spreading habit and ability to fix nitrogen in the soil makes it an excellent choice for erosion control and soil improvement. Photographed in the department of Quindio, Colombia.
