Isidorea pungens has a long red tubular flower with a flared lobed mouth beside narrow glossy green leaves

Isidorea pungens (Encinillo)

Native to Hispaniola, encinillo is a shrub of seasonally dry tropical habitats. Its narrow, leathery leaves are glossy dark green above and grayish beneath, with sharp tips and curved margins. Red to orange tubular flowers arise in the leaf axils, usually singly or in small clusters. Their mouths flare into several short triangular lobes. Small oval capsules contain two seeds. Photographed in Florida.
