This plant hails from Mexico and the West Indies and is acknowledged for its medicinal attributes, notably its potential to enhance antibiotic activity against antibiotic-resistant strains like MRSA. It grows erect with toothed leaves and small, yellow-orange flowers that exhibit a brief but vibrant display, blooming early in the morning and wilting in the afternoon. Photographed in Barranquilla, Colombia.
