Hellenia speciosa
The Crepe Ginger is native to Southeast Asia and surrounding regions and it's a popular ornamental plant in many tropical areas. It is an erect, occasionally branched, herbaceous perennial plant, growing up to approximately 10 feet tall from a stout, creeping, tuberous rootstock. Photographed in Minca, Colombia.
