Phyllanthus acidus
A tree of unknown origin noted for its edible small yellow berries which taste sour and tart. During the flowering season, it produces small, pinkish flowers in clusters and bears pale yellow fruits with a waxy, crisp, and juicy texture. Medicinally, the plant is significant due to its contents like 4-hydroxybenzoic acid and kaempferol. Itis called grosella in Colombia. Photographed in the Valley of Cauca, Colombia.
