Vaccinium corymbosum
The species commonly known as highbush blueberry is native to eastern North America, where it spans a range from northeastern Illinois and northern Indiana, stretching northeast to Nova Scotia, southward to Florida, and westward to northeastern Texas and Oklahoma. The highbush blueberry has also been introduced for commercial cultivation in regions outside its natural distribution. The species is highly variable, encompassing diploids, tetraploids, hexaploids, and a range of hybrid combinations.
