Tripogandra serrulata small white three-petaled flowers with yellow anthers above broad green leaves

Tripogandra serrulata

Native from Mexico through tropical South America, Tripogandra serrulata is a perennial herb of moist forest, stream edges, and shaded disturbed ground. Succulent stems carry alternate clasping leaves and small white three-petaled flowers. Two different sets of stamens, including long curved filaments with yellow anthers, give each blossom a distinctive center. Photographed in Colombia.
