Tripodanthus acutifolius

Native across southern tropical South America, Tripodanthus acutifolius is a woody hemiparasitic plant that grows through the crowns of host trees. It produces its own green leaves while drawing water and minerals from the host branch. Dense clusters contain numerous long narrow cream flowers with projecting stamens. Photographed in Colombia.
