Tradescantia pallida (Purple Heart)

Purple Heart originates from Mexico and is distinguished by its striking purple foliage. This plant has a trailing habit and it bears three-petaled pink flowers. Its downward-trailing stems make it particularly suited for hanging baskets, rock gardens, and wall plantings​​​​. This species is has cultivars, with 'Purpurea' being a notable one that showcases a deeper purple hue in its stems and leaves compared to the original species​​.
