Syagrus romanzoffiana (Queen Palm)
Native to the regions of Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, and parts of Uruguay, this palm thrives in tropical and subtropical climates. Commonly known as the queen palm, it has become popular as an ornamental tree, valued for its stately appearance, which is characterized by a smooth, straight trunk topped with a large crown of gracefully arching fronds. The tree produces attractive clusters of cream-colored flowers, which give way to orange-yellow fruits, often consumed by wildlife but also edible for humans, offering a taste that is both sweet and somewhat fibrous.
