Solidago leavenworthii

A perennial herb native to the southeastern United States, Solidago leavenworthii grows in pine flatwoods and other open sandy habitats. Upright stems bear narrow leaves and elongated clusters of small yellow flower heads. Each head combines tiny ray and disk florets, creating a bright continuous flowering spike.
