Solidago fistulosa

A perennial herb native to the southeastern United States, Solidago fistulosa grows in wet flatwoods, marsh margins, and seasonally moist open ground. Upright stems branch into dense arrays of small yellow flower heads. Narrow leaves line the stem, while the upper flowering branches form a broad golden display. Photographed in Florida.
