Solidago canadensis

A tall perennial herb native to North America, Solidago canadensis spreads through rhizomes in fields, roadsides, and open disturbed habitats. Arching branched flower clusters contain hundreds of tiny yellow heads, each composed of disk and ray florets. Narrow toothed leaves line the upright stems below the broad flowering plume.
