Solanum aturense

A woody nightshade native to northern South America, Solanum aturense grows in tropical forests and disturbed vegetation. Branched inflorescences carry pale violet to white star-shaped flowers with five spreading petals and a central cone of yellow anthers. Broad leaves and softly hairy young growth surround the flower clusters. Photographed in Colombia.
