Saurauia yasicae

Saurauia yasicae is a shrub or tree native from Mexico through Central America to Venezuela. Broad toothed leaves cluster toward the ends of branches, and pale five-petaled flowers open in branched groups. Numerous stamens form a prominent center, and the flowers are followed by rounded fleshy fruits. Research-grade observations document the species in Panama. Photographed in Colombia.
