A woody, perennial herb with fragrant, evergreen, needle-like leaves and a profusion of flowers, varying from white to pink, purple, or blue. Originating from the Mediterranean region, Rosemary is valued for its culinary applications. Its essential oil is known for containing compounds such as cineole, camphor, and rosmarinic acid, which contribute to its medicinal properties. These properties include antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial effects, as well as benefits for mental clarity, digestive health, and hair and skin care. Cultivars have been developed.
