Russelia equisetiformis (Firecracker Plant)
A weeping shrub that hails from Mexico and Costa Rica that create a mound resembling a fountain. Admired for its year-round blooming in warm climates, it produces profuse small flowers normally in red but also yellow. It has been recognized with the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit. Photographed in Cali, Colombia.
