Rubus is a genus of shrubs, climbing plants and perennial herbs in the rose family, native across much of the world. Many species have prickly stems and toothed leaves, which may be simple or compound. The flowers typically have five sepals, five petals and numerous stamens. Each aggregate fruit consists of small, one-seeded drupelets. Photographed in the department of Santander.
