Rubus (species unidentified)
Rubus is a genus in the rose family that includes shrubs, subshrubs and perennial herbs. Many have arching or scrambling stems armed with prickles. Leaves are alternate and often compound, with toothed leaflets. Flowers generally have five sepals, five petals and numerous stamens. The fleshy aggregate fruits consist of many small, one-seeded drupelets. Photographed in southern Colombia.
