Rubus hirsutus bright red aggregate fruit surrounded by green unripe fruits and toothed leaves

Rubus hirsutus

A bramble native from southern China through temperate East Asia, Rubus hirsutus grows as a low subshrub or shrub with arching prickly stems. Its compound leaves have toothed margins, and white flowers develop into aggregate fruits composed of many small drupelets. Ripe fruits become bright red against the green foliage. Photographed in Florida.
