Rubus adenotrichos

Rubus adenotrichos is a scrambling blackberry shrub native from Mexico through Central America to the northern Andes. Arching prickly stems carry compound toothed leaves and clusters of small white flowers with numerous stamens. The fruits ripen from red to dark purple-black. The species grows in cool tropical highlands. Research-grade observations document it in Colombia, Ecuador, and Panama. Photographed in Colombia.
