Rovaeanthus strigosus

A scrambling shrub native from southern Mexico through Central America, Rovaeanthus strigosus grows primarily in subtropical habitats. Rounded clusters carry deep pink to red flowers with broad lobes and a pale, hairy throat. The opposite leaves have a textured surface, and the flowering stems bear fine hairs.
