Riohacha Beach, Colombia
Riohacha Beach runs parallel to the touristic district and malecón (boardwalk) of Riohacha, the capital of the La Guajira Department in northern Colombia. This long and expansive urban beach stretches along the Caribbean coastline and is easily accessible. The sea can appear murky due to nearby river sediment and tidal activity. The boardwalk area is lined with palm trees, artisanal vendors selling Wayuu handicrafts (such as mochilas and hammocks), and traditional food stalls serving arepas, fried fish, and patacones
