Rhododendron Vireya 'Wild Child'


Rhododendron Vireya ‘Wild Child’ is a cultivated rhododendron hybrid in the Ericaceae family. It belongs to the tropical vireya group, whose wild species occur mainly in mountainous parts of Southeast Asia and Australasia. Many grow on trees in cool montane forests, while others grow in the ground. Vireyas have glossy green leaves with distinctive scales underneath and produce winged seeds. Photographed in Florida.
