Rhaphiolepis umbellata (Indian Hawthorn)

An evergreen shrub originating from Korea, Japan, and Taiwan. This plant, which grows up to 5 feet tall and equally wide, is adorned with glossy oval leaves and bears scented white flowers, occasionally tinged with pink​. It has received the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit. The plant has many cultivars or hybrids. Photographed in Bogotá, Colombia.
