Prunus persica (Peach)
A fruit tree originating from Eastern China, now with many cultivars. The peach tree's life span is notably brief for a tree, typically capping at around 20 years. The tree's ornamental qualities are highlighted by showy blossoms that can vary from white to red. The United States, Italy, and Greece among the leading producers of this fruit.
