
Prunus persica (Peach)
A fruit tree originating from Eastern China, now with many cultivars. The peach tree’s life span is notably brief for a tree, typically capping at around 20 years​. The tree’s ornamental qualities are highlighted by showy blossoms that can vary from white to red. The United States, Italy, and Greece among the leading producers of this fruit. ​The fruit is called durazno in Colombia and is cultivate between 5,000 and 9,000 feet.
