Pinguicula 'Aphrodite'


Pinguicula ‘Aphrodite’ is a cultivated carnivorous hybrid produced from the Mexican species Pinguicula agnata and Pinguicula moctezumae. It forms a rosette of glandular leaves that trap small insects and produces long-stalked flowers over an extended season. The corolla is pink to lavender with a pale throat, broad rounded upper lobes, and a long narrow spur. Photographed in Florida.
