Pelargonium × hortorum (Zonal Geranium)

This hybrid, commonly known as zonal geranium, is a horticultural hybrid derived primarily from the South African species Pelargonium inquinans and Pelargonium zonale. It is one of the most widely grown ornamental pelargoniums in North America, Europe and Australia, with numerous cultivars bearing single, semi-double or double flowers. Available colors include white, pink, salmon, orange-red and deep red. The white form shown carries rounded flower clusters with broad overlapping petals and small red-orange anthers.
