Parkinsonia praceox
A drought resistant tree hailing from the warm terrains of Mexico to Peru. With the arrival of spring, it comes to life, its branches bearing the delicate touch of yellow blooms, often accompanied by a smattering of orange dots, injecting a burst of color into the otherwise barren landscapes. Its leaves make a brief appearance during the rainy season, with the plant relying on its green stems for photosynthesis. Photographed in the department of Santander, Colombia.
