Originating from South Africa, the bulbous plant has long-lasting white flowers with centers often tinged green or cream, making it a desirable cut flower​. It has naturalized in regions of southwestern Western Australia. Remarkably disease and pest-resistant, it's also resilient to deer and other critters. Photographed in Bogotá, Colombia.
