Ocimum gratissimum (Clove Basil)

Native to Aldabra, Angola, Assam, Bangladesh, Botswana, and Burundi and nearby regions, this is an herbaceous plant in the Lamiaceae family. It thrives in tropical climates and is known for both culinary and ornamental uses. Photographed in Bogotá, Colombia.
