
Ocimum basilicum (Sweet Basil)
Native to tropical and subtropical regions of Asia, the Sweet Basil, is a cherished herb appreciated for its aromatic leaves which find extensive use in various cuisines around the world, especially in Italian and Asian dishes​. Research indicates that it can be beneficial in treating respiratory diseases, bacterial or fungal infections, wounds, headaches, and gastrointestinal disorders​​.
