Miconia ferruginea

Native to the Caribbean islands, including Puerto Rico, Hispaniola (Haiti and the Dominican Republic), and Jamaica. It is also found in parts of Central and South America, including Costa Rica, Panama, Venezuela, Colombia, and Brazil. Its natural habitat consists of wet tropical forests and cloud forests.
