Macroptilium prostratum

Native from Bolivia through Brazil and northern Argentina, this perennial legume grows in seasonally dry tropical habitats. It is an herb with trailing or climbing stems. Yellow pea-shaped flowers have a prominent callus on the upper standard and a hooked lower keel. Photographed in Florida.
