Originating from regions spanning Colombia to Western Bolivia, this subshrub finds its habitat in the Andes between 5,500 and 12,000 feet. Its cultivation isn't solely confined to its native terrains. One of 86 native Colombian species of the genus Lupinus. Photographed in the eastern Andes mountain range of Colombia (Cordillera Oriental).
