Leucanthemum × superbum (Shasta Daisy)
A hybrid involving several daisy species. The goal was to develop a daisy with larger blooms reminiscent of the snow-capped peaks of California's Mount Shasta, hence its common name. Over the years, numerous cultivars have been developed some that have been honored with the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit. Photographed in the Cocora Valley, Colombia.
