Laguna La Cocha, Colombia


Laguna La Cocha is a high Andean lake southeast of Pasto in the department of Nariño. The surrounding wetland includes peatlands, páramo, forest, and streams that feed the upper Guamuez River system.

Colombia designated the broader La Cocha wetland as a Ramsar site because of its international ecological importance.
